GAUTHIER (LAWRENCE), Beverley Dora Jean

(nee Payne)

At Princess Gardens on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in her 92nd year. Loving wife of the late George Lawrence and the late Edward Gauthier. Loving mother of Stephen Lawrence (Alana) and Anne (Lawrence) Callaghan. Dear grandmother of Ethan and Brenna Lawrence. Born on October 27, 1929 in Belleville, Ontario to the late Hilliard and Clara Payne (nee Puffer). Survived by brothers Bob and Eric Payne and sisters Ruth Maw and Kate Ellis, and several nieces and nephews. Beverley was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a brilliant, strong, and creative woman who nursed George through ALS, raised two amazing children, loved her two grandchildren with all her heart, taught hundreds of students in Toronto and Peterborough, created remarkable watercolour paintings over many decades, and solved thousands of crosswords and sudoku puzzles over the years. Words cannot express the thanks and appreciation the family has for the staff at Princess Gardens who provided such wonderful and loving care to Beverley for more than 13 years. At the request of the family and due to the pandemic restrictions, a celebration of Beverley's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In memory of Beverley, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
