It also provides artists and makers the opportunity to share and promote their work.

This year’s tour runs both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features 42 artists and makers at 34 studio locations across the region, from Stoney Lake to Keene.

Eight artists with studios in the Town Ward are participating: Leanne Baird, John Climenhage, Miguel Hernandez Autorino, Anne Hoover, Jeffrey Macklin, Nan Sidler, Bronson Smith and Victoria Wallace.

A map of all studio locations, and biographies of the artists and markers, is available at agp.on.ca/kast.

A Selections Exhibition is also on display at the Art Gallery of Peterborough, 250 Crescent St., and features one piece by each participating artist and marker. According to organizers, the exhibit “seeks to capture the outstanding quality, spirit, and variety available on this year’s tour.”

The exhibit runs until Oct. 3 and can be viewed Thursdays through Sundays by appointment. Please call the gallery at 705-743-9179 to arrange an appointment.
