Purse stolen from store

City police are investigating after a theft at a local business. At about 1 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the business in the Hunter Street West and Queen Street area about a theft. A man and a woman had entered the store and as the pair was leaving, the clerk noticed the woman had some items and attempted to stop them, police said. A purse was stolen, police said. The woman was described as white and wearing a striped sweater, jeans, a blue vest and a bucket hat. The man was described as white and was wearing a black cloth coat and a black tuque.
