Robber claimed to have firearm

City police are investigating after a robbery at a downtown Peterborough business. At about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, officers were called about a robbery at a store in Peterborough Square after a man entered the store, selected some items and stated he had a firearm before fleeing the store, police said. The man dropped the items before leaving the area, police said. No one was injured in the incident. The robber is described as white with a medium build. He was wearing a blue jacket, a blue hooded sweater and an orange tuque.
