8U Tigers win opening games

The Peterborough Cindy Gynane Ball Real Estate 8U Tigers started off their season in perfect fashion at home with two wins and no losses. The 8U Tigers took down the Kawartha Cubs on Thursday by a convincing score of 23-11 and then defeated the Whitby Canadians on Saturday, 20-15. Rory McNamara and Lewyn Manol hit home runs for the Tigers. Coach Mike McNamara said he’s proud of his team’s start. A scheduled game Monday night against the Kawartha Cubs was postponed by the rain. The 8U Tigers travelled to Cobourg on Wednesday night to face the Northumberland Jacks. They’ll travel to Cambridge on May 28 to face the Waterloo Tigers and the Cambridge Cubs.
