Loaded Pierogi opening Saturday

Second outlet slated to open in January at the former Reggie’s location

Perogy lovers have had more than a month to sample the menu at Loaded Pierogi’s Lansdowne Street West location, but this weekend will be something special.

The national chain will be holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday, with merchandise giveaways, a trip contest and free food for the first 100 guests.

The eatery opens at 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

“We are so excited to be the brand that’s serving fresh, Canadian as well as globally inspired ingredients all loaded up on mouthwatering perogies, poutines and mac and cheese dishes,” owners Kuljeet Dhanda, Aayush Patel and Bhavesh Panchal said in a statement.

“We’re proud to have put so much of our heart into planning this grand opening, and are committed to upholding the flavour, quality, value, and exceptional service that each and every store in this franchise delivers.”

The restaurant showcases a variety of “crave-able options” to customize the “loaded experience,” including classic and crispy perogies, curly fry poutines and mac and cheese.

“Our mission at Loaded Pierogi is to satisfy every craving by combining uncompromising feel-good quality with the fresh, flavourful and fun ingredients, all while providing an extraordinary level of customer service.”

A second Loaded Pierogi location in Peterborough, located on Hunter Street East in the former Reggie’s restaurant in East City, is expected to open in January.

The first outlet is in Unit 5A at the Parkway Place plaza at 1135 Lansdowne St. W. in the west end of Peterborough.

It’s open Mondays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. It’s closed on Sundays. The outlet’s phone number is 705-745-8118 and the chain’s website is at loadedpierogi.com.
