Excalibur curlers prep for OUA

The Trent Excalibur women’s volleyball team lost both its OUA matches on the weekend to the host Lakehead University Thunderwolves. Both men’s and women’s teams will play at home against the University of Waterloo Warriors this weekend. Trent’s men’s and women’s curling teams were at the Brock Invitational Spiel last weekend. The women’s team, coached by Joe Muldoon, finished with a record of 1-3. Trent beat Algoma University, 9-3, then fell to Toronto Metropolitan University, 7-1; the University of Guelph, 7-0; and finished with a closely contested loss against the University of Toronto, 5-4. The men’s team also posted a 1-3 record. The bonspiel was final preparation for the OUA championships, which will be held at Oshawa Golf and Country Club from Feb. 3 to 5.
